We are an athletic strength and conditioning program designed for any and every individual. Ocean CrossFit is a 5,000 square foot warehouse facility on an acre of property in Neptune City, NJ. All of our elite coaches are CrossFit Level-1 certified, with many holding different specialty certifications such as Mobility, CrossFit Kids, Strong Man, Kettle Bell, Rowing, etc. At Ocean CrossFit we are proud to say that we have a strong community. We sweat together, cheer each other on, and share moments together inside and outside the gym.
Essentially, what is CrossFit? By definition, CrossFit is an athletic regiment of constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity. So what does that mean for you, the athlete? It means you will be performing a variety of movements like squatting, running, jumping, climbing, lifting and throwing, with a variety of different equipment – pull up bars, kettle bells, medicine balls, ropes, and barbells, etc. in a high intensity workout. It combines elements of weight lighting, gymnastics, and metabolic condition. Every workout is scaled appropriately to each athlete’s ability regardless of your age or fitness level.
We have a diverse community at Ocean CrossFit, with members of all ages, abilities and backgrounds. We will work hard together, break down barriers, and set new records. We don’t have room for big egos or bad attitudes. Whether you are looking to lose weight, switching up your regimen, training for a sport, or just trying CrossFit for the first time, you’ll find the universal scalability of our programming will produce results for members at all levels.
All of our new members are encouraged to complete two weeks of our Scaled/Lite and or Power Hour programming. Our program emphasizes skill development and exposure to our basic movements. It is designed to build you into our regularly scheduled programming and get you ready to hit the ground running. During the two weeks of a basic, yet challenging program, our coaches will have a good evaluation of the athlete. It is our goal to make you feel very comfortable and confident with each movement you learn these new movements and techniques. You will have the opportunity in each session to ask any questions you may have. We then would require you to complete our "ON RAMP PROGRAM" (please see below). We completely understand that some people would rather just start our regular program, therefore the two weeks is not required, although taking our "on ramp program" is required to participate in our regularly scheduled CrossFit workout.
At Ocean CrossFit we pride ourselves on our excellent coaching, our amazing/clean facility, and the environment that we create. Our free class will allow you to meet our coaches, see the facility, and sweat with our members. Our free trial class is a great opportunity for you to come try us out with no commitment. Our free trial classes are listed on our schedule or by appointment scheduled by reserving your spot.
All of our members are required to complete the On-Ramp Program before training in our regular CrossFit classes. The On-Ramp Program emphasizes skill development and exposure to our basic movements and more technical movements. It is designed to build you into our regularly scheduled group classes where you may see some more technical movements. The On-Ramp will be a private sessions one-on-one with one of our certified coaches; more sessions may be required based on a coach’s evaluation of the athlete. It is our goal to make you feel very comfortable and confident with each movement you learn in the On-Ramp Program. Along with a basic understanding of the movements a coach will go over scaling options specifically for you as the athlete. You will have the opportunity in each session to ask any questions you may have.
The "On Ramp" session must be scheduled by e-mail and does not need to be during class hours. We offer a wide range of times that our coaches are available to do a private on-ramp sessions.

CF = Regular CrossFit classes, with a variety of functional movements including complex olympic lifting
CF LITE = CrossFit Lite, a stepping stone to regular classes including met-cons and regularly programmed strength thats scaled appropriately.
POWER = our very popular Power Hour Class, an endurance class, including old-school style crossfit in metcons consisting of amraps allowing all levels from beginners to high level athletes to be successful.
OPEN = Open Gym Class which allows you to come work on weaknesses, make-up strength, program your own workout, etc.

After taking a class you'll have the opportunity to speak to a coach about what your next steps/options are.
